What was the problem?
Many travelers struggle to find relevant, up-to-date, and easy-to-digest travel information. Traditional travel resources, such as blogs and guidebooks, are often overwhelming, outdated, or too generic, making it difficult to quickly access the most useful insights. Travelers want fast, reliable, and personalized recommendations without spending hours researching.
What was the goal?
Trippy aims to simplify travel planning by providing concise, visually appealing, and AI-powered travel insights. The app delivers curated recommendations such as real-time updates, and offline accessibility, ensuring users can easily find the best places to visit, eat, and explore—without information overload. The ultimate goal is to make travel planning effortless, engaging, and community-driven for modern adventurers.

Who’s our competitor?

TripAdvisor – Provides extensive user reviews but can be overwhelming and cluttered.
Lonely Planet & Traditional Guidebooks – In-depth guides but often outdated and too detailed for quick reference.
Instagram & TikTok Travel Content – Great for inspiration but lacks structured, practical information.
What are the pain points?
Information Overload – Traditional travel blogs and guides are too lengthy and difficult to navigate quickly.
Lack of Personalization – Generic recommendations that don’t cater to specific travel styles.
Offline Accessibility Issues – Many apps require an internet connection, which isn’t always available while traveling.
What did I learn?
Simplicity Wins – Users appreciate a minimalist, straight-to-the-point design with essential info at their fingertips.
Offline Functionality is a Must – Travelers frequently request offline access, proving its importance in real-world scenarios.
People Want Quick Answers, Not Long Reads – Users prefer snackable travel tips over lengthy blogs or guidebooks.
